International Tibetan Spaniel Working Party

In Partnership with The Tibetan Spaniel Network

About ITSWP

OutdoorsThe aim of the International Tibetan Spaniel Working Party is to unite Tibetan Spaniel owners and breeders worldwide and to encourage people to safeguard the future of the breed. It was formed by an informal group of concerned breeders from all over the world, who identified the need to develop a health information network for the international community that was not affiliated with any kennel club that had no elected officials, that had no due or fees, and all information was free.

It is the desire of the Working Party to monitor the breed in relation to any negative health issues that may affect the breed. The design of the monitoring is through a Working Party Committee and through independent Country Representatives, who report health issues from their respective countries. The Working Party not only collects data and provides it free online but works through the Country Representatives to disseminate information to the Tibetan Spaniel Community at large.

The major focus began with collection of data and pedigrees which had been affected by PRA, and has grown over the years to include an International Kennel Listing for research on pedigrees, and an International Eye Testing database. As the Working Party identifies additional areas that require monitoring, they will be added to this site.
